Structural Design Director
James is recognized as one of the most knowledgeable architect-engineers in the industry. Having been awarded Architect of the Year for three consecutive years James exhibits superior skills as Cilantro’s Head Structural Design Director.
A Technical Leader for both Cilantro’s firm and the whole Southeast Asian Region, James is an expert in evaluating and optimizing high-rise buildings. Developers and building owners seek James’s structural insights as well as his deep understanding of construction methods. He provides consultation and peer review to ensure that buildings are designed to be flexible, efficient and attractive to prospective clients.
James serves on the Advisory Board for Construction Trades, Engineering and Architecture. His award-winning projects have been featured in prominent design publications including BluPrint and eVolo Magazine. He is a Registered ASEAN Architect with a focus on structural design.
James holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the Don Bosco Technical College in the Philippines and a Degree of Civil Engineering from the University of California in Berkeley.
